What's new

Follow along as BriefHQ gets better every week. Let us know what you love (or don't) — it helps us prioritise.

  1. June 2026v1.4New

Interactive product demo on the homepage

The homepage now features a fully interactive Arcade demo — click through the actual flow of turning vague client answers into a polished brief, right from the hero. Works inline on mobile and desktop, no new tabs.

  2. June 2026v1.4New

    Public status page

Visit /status for a live view of the web app, database, AI gateway, authentication and email delivery — with rolling 30-day uptime and incident history. Refreshes every minute.

  3. June 2026v1.4New

    Dark mode

Toggle between light and dark themes from the top nav. Your preference is remembered across sessions and respects your OS setting on first visit.

  4. June 2026v1.4Improved

    Faster brief generation

Brief generation is ~30% faster on average thanks to streaming responses from the AI gateway and smarter prompt batching. Most briefs now land in under 8 seconds.

  5. June 2026v1.4Improved

    Keyboard shortcut for create project

Hit ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) anywhere in the dashboard to jump straight into a new project. Saves a few clicks every time.

  6. June 2026v1.4Improved

    Copy share link button

Project detail pages now have a one-click copy for the client intake link, with toast confirmation. No more selecting URLs in the address bar.

  7. June 2026v1.4Fixed

    Fixed mobile keyboard hiding submit

On iOS, the on-screen keyboard could overlap the final 'Submit' button on the client intake form. The form now scrolls the active field into view above the keyboard.

  8. June 2026v1.4Fixed

Fixed PDF export on long briefs

Briefs longer than ~6 pages occasionally clipped section headings across page breaks in the PDF. Page break logic was rewritten — no more cut-off headings.

  9. May 2026v1.3Improved

    Brief 'Ready' email redesign

The brief-ready email to your team now includes a one-line summary, the client's primary goal, and a direct deep-link into the dashboard project. Same for the brief-signed email.

  10. May 2026v1.3New

    Sample brief page

Launched /sample-brief — a fully populated, real example brief anyone can read without signing up. Linked from the homepage hero, pricing, blog, and templates pages.

  11. May 2026v1.3New

    Referral program

Every agency now has a unique referral link in the Referrals tab. Refer another agency, get 20% recurring commission on their first 12 months. Tracked automatically.

    ROI calculator

New interactive calculator at /roi-calculator shows exactly how many hours and how much revenue BriefHQ saves your agency based on project volume.

  13. May 2026v1.3Improved

Better empty state for new dashboards

First-time users now see a guided three-step onboarding card on the dashboard instead of an empty list — fewer support tickets, faster activation.

  14. May 2026v1.2Improved

    Brand color in client portal

Brand color set in Settings now also drives focus rings and active states on the client intake portal — not just the header. Matches your visual identity end-to-end.

  15. May 2026v1.2New

    Sign-off email confirmation

After a client signs and locks a brief, both sides now get a confirmation email with the signed-off PDF attached. Keeps everyone honest.

  16. May 2026v1.2Fixed

    Fixed dashboard search highlighting

Search matches in the dashboard projects list now stay highlighted as you scroll, and clearing the input properly resets the filter.

  17. May 2026v1.2Improved

    Settings copy improvements

Rewrote the Settings page copy with clearer descriptions for every section — agency profile, branding, Slack, billing — so it's obvious what each control does.

  18. May 2026v1.1Improved

    Faster page loads

Marketing pages now serve ~40% smaller JavaScript bundles thanks to better code-splitting. Lighthouse scores up across the board.

  19. May 2026v1.1New

    Cookie consent banner

Added a GDPR-compliant cookie consent banner with granular toggles for analytics and marketing — required for our European agencies.

    Fixed Slack webhook validation

Slack URLs with trailing slashes were rejected during setup. Now normalized server-side before validation.

  22. May 2026v1.0New

    Status page with email alerts

Subscribe at /status to get an email whenever an incident is opened or resolved. Per-agency subscriptions are managed from Settings.

  23. June 2026v1.4Improved

Slack notifications for submit and sign-off

If you've connected Slack, you now get pings the moment a client submits a brief and again when they digitally sign and lock it — not just when AI generation finishes.

  24. June 2026v1.3New

    AI competitor scan (paid)

Drop in competitor URLs or names and BriefHQ returns a positioning summary plus 2–5 competitor breakdowns with strengths, weaknesses and a differentiation opportunity — tailored to the project type. Available on Starter, Pro and Team.

  25. June 2026v1.3New

    Auto mood board & scope/timeline AI add-ons

Every brief now has on-demand AI add-ons: an art-directed mood board (palette, type pairing, textures, reference imagery) and a phased scope & timeline with week-by-week focus and risks — both tuned per project type (redesign, e-commerce, SaaS, mobile, campaign, logo and more).

  26. May 2026v1.2New

    Project-type-specific intake questions

Client briefs now adapt to the project type — redesigns, e-commerce, landing pages, mobile apps, marketing campaigns, logo design and more each get their own tailored questions so the generated brief lands sharper, faster.

  27. May 2026v1.2New

    Branded client portal (Pro)

Generate a polished Word document of any brief in one click — works on desktop and mobile, alongside the existing PDF export.
